PENGENALAN

MISI extended

assalamualaikum,

something to share..dedicated to the apprentice of MISI o6

MISI extended

Well, Mukhayam Intensive Iswa-Siswi Islah has come to an end. The 1 month program was closed with a convocation night which was attended by several veteran ikhwah and akhawats, and some other pak cik and mak cik, and those of the society community of Desa Saujana. All participants were graduated and received a certificate and a CD of power point presentations that were used through out the program.

Unfortunately, Dhanny and me didn’t get one! Maybe because lack of credit hours as we didn’t fully attend the 1 month camp. But it was nothing, the programs and the inputs given are the most precious besides friendship based purely liLlahita’ala (because of God).

It was Saturday morning, and the ones leaving late had to clean and pack up the belongings of MISI. The surau (place where muslims perform their prayers) had a lot of tidying up to do. So every one gave their hand and took any work that could be done that morning, and the task was carried out quite impressive as no one deliberated any work for any of us, but everyone had something to do. 2 were in the small kitchen, 3 were handling the unwashed dishes, others were in the toilet, a few at our sleeping hall…

I had a meeting going on that 9am morning. Thus, I quickly finish of washing the dishes and took a bath. Rizal drove me to Al-Amin while we drop some akhawats from politeknik at the UKM commuter station. Just a bit late as I came in the meeting room it was already 10am. It was only to discuss and get things coordinated for the Al-Amin Bangi gathering (Mawaddah Day). No comments on the meeting, but for you guys out there, make sure when you get into discussion or event meetings, get things done by objective-it’s easier and a lot more matured. But if you go by “wah! Tak sedap ah mata memandang! Kita tukar lah…,” then the meeting will go for endless hours of useless, stressing and blur discussion. (no hard feeling eiyh! Just to share).

Exactly 12 o’clock, I excused myself from the meeting and Rizal (KUKTEM, Phg) was already waiting outside in Ust. Samsuri’s van. Safwan (x-UTM) was with him too. But he was suppose to be at work that morning..? Asking him eagerly as I entered the van he said his motorcycle had a problem and was sent to the workshop. He ended up with rizal as his motor kris got stucked in the tire just before he entered the PLUS highway at the bangi toll. So Rizal, who was on his way back from sending me, came to the rescue. Imagine 2 guys shuffling a motorcycle into the back of a van…that’s what happen in front of toll bangi. That van sure came in handy.

On our way back to the camp site (Desa Saujana), the akhawats called and asked us to pick some things from the akhawats house. Allah has arrange things quite easy for us. Wow! Those thing weren’t little. It took almost half the van to fill up. Before heading of, we had some little quarrel with the akhawats; they wanted to come to the surau and stay there before every one leaves but we (me, Rizal and Safwan) didn’t want them to, as we had other plans to do at the surau. We planned to clean up the ‘kolah’ (water tank where muslims can take their wudu’-a compulsory ritual before performing the solah-prayer) and as the Malay saying goes “minum sambil menyelam.” Well, women always win the quarrel. So they came, they conquered and we had nothing enjoying to do.

After more cleaning up and performing the Zduhur prayer-around 1.30pm, we started stuffing more things to the back of the van as those things were supposed to be sent to the JIM (Jamaah Islah Malaysia) Gombak’s headquarter. During the packing up, one of us came with an idea of asking pak cik Husien to treat us to some ice cream (quite funny if you now who asked for the treat). On that very second, an ice-cream motorcycle came and our wish for ice-cream was granted. At 3.40, after some picture sessions and a couple of ukhuwah hugs, we headed our separate ways with different missions.

pak cik Husien in his black wira, driving the akhawats to complex JIM in Bandar melawati for some meetings to attend
zubair and azri in their kancil, heading to UIA
safwan in his dark blue kancil, driving solo back to Putra Jaya
me, faisal, firdaus, safwan, rizal and dhanny took the van to KL back to Ust. Samsuri and dropping the things at JIM Gombak’s headquarter.

Of we head on our journey searching mardhotiLlah (God’s pride). It was a stressing afternoon drive on the MRR2. all kinds of drivers were on the road. There was on edriver changing lane and didn’t care to look up his side mirror, forcing me to stump on the breaks hard. The van went swaying three times but alhamduliLlah, Allah protected us all and made our journey towards His pride longer. At last we came to Green Wood at around 5.30pm. we all syura (having a short discussion) to have our lunch at the food court before heading towards Ust. House.

After filling in our stomachs, we all went in and try to locate where ust. Samsuri stayed. Firdaus knows the way in to ust.’s area and I knew ust.’s specific house, so it was a good combination. Cornering each block we ended up at a surau with a green kubah (roof top), and I knew that ust. House was quite near and our journey was coming to an end. We paryed together at that surau.

Back I the van, we went straight to ust. Samsuri’s house and he was there waiting for us inside. After some greetings, we were asked to send the things we brought to the JIM Gombak’s headquarter which was a few blocks away from ust.’s house. We found it after several times circling the area and it was on the third floor. Rizal parked the van with it’s back nearest to the entrance and we all un packed and climbed the three stories building. Tiring but what can defeat the bond of ukhuwah. One working, the others can’t just sit back and watch. Besides, it’s an amanah and a responsibility we had to carry out. It didn’t seem to be hard anyway.

Ust. Came and we had our pictures taken. Then of we went to send firdaus to his house as t was just across the road. His family stayed in taman sahabat if I’m not mistaken. Crossing the main road was no small deal. ‘nekad’ was the best word to describe our dash across the rapid flow of cars and alhamduliLlah, God made it a safe journey going and returning. After sending Firdaus, we sent back the van to ust. Samsuri’s home and we took my car which was taken by ust from the workshop. All five of us (me, dhanny, rizal, safwan and faisal) headed towards faisal’s house near Gombak Police Station. Wasn’t far away, we took pictures before we left faisal to his family.

Now it was only me, dhanny, safwan and rizal on the boat…

Dhanny asked me to drop him at the Complex JIM as he asked his father to take him there. So we went to Pusat Bandar Melawati as it was in the middle of our plan to Ampang and drop rizal at his auntie’s house. There, we met other ikhwahs, the four akhawats that pak cik Husien took in the early of my story and pakcik Husien himself. After performing the maghrib prayer in the small prayer room, again we took pictures (we hell like to take pictures). We planned to go for dinner at medan selera melawati (I’m not even sure if the name exists) but before things went our way, pak cik Husien offered us the treat. He bought us drinks and dhanny paid the capaties.

Pak cik husien didn’t stop there, he offered us to stay the night at his place. He said there’a a swimming pool there and we can swim until 10pm. So we took the kind and humble offer. The idea behind his offer was that we shared with him our plan to swim the kolah was not accomplished so he offered us to swim the pool. Off we went to Oak Leaf condominium where pak cik Husien lived with his wife and one of his children. The first thing we did as we entered the place was go to the changing room and get ourselves on with our track suits. It was a bit dark as the lightings weren’t on and there was nothing to play with except the safety ring which lifeguards throw to drowning pool users (ala..pelampung..). The funny thing was, we played with it, tossing, throwing, hustling and played the most bizarre things you could play with a thing like that. We all laughed like no one was there. It was fun having some stupid games with ikhwahs especially ones we knew only in 2 weeks, it made our bond tighter and stronger.

After 1 hour in the water, we dressed up and went up stairs to pak cik Husien’s house. It was big enough for the family to feel comfortable. With pak cik Husien’s hospitality, we felt most welcomed and all time at ease. He prepared us blankets and pillows for a good night temporary death. “tak pe pak cik, tak yah susah-susah..kitorang dah biase tido tak beralas nih..,”one of us said. But that didn’t stop pak cik Husien’s intention of greeting his so ordinary guests. Something we all should take note. Treat your guests kindly.

The next morning, we performed the subuh prayer together and recited the ma’thurat (doa-praying to God, which was done by the prophet Muhammad pbuh-peace be upon him). Then it was breakfast; fried spaghetti noodles, nasi lemak, fruits, milk and some kuihs. Well, we had to take good care of our health through nutrition control which we carried out in our convocation oath. Moreover, the saying goes “eat breakfast like a king, lunch with a friend and dinner with an enemy.” After eating, washing ourselves, we had our last picture with pak cik Husien as the battery was already blinking dead. Then at 9am, we headed back on the road.

Firstly, we dropped Dhanny at the Century Paradise Club-he had arranged to meet some friend there. It was a good bye to him. But good bye based on ukhuwah doesn’t last long…until one leaves the others behind to see his Creator and we all pray that day will come with pride and iman.

Leaving dhanny on his own quest, we (me, safwan and rizal) visited my brother at MATAR (maahad tahfiz masjid ar-ridwan). It was just a short visit, but still, one visit can mean something precious to others. After performing the dhuha prayer (a prayer that’s not compulsory to be performed) there, we continued our journey on the MRR2.

Rizal changed his plan, and wanted to take the bus back to Ipoh. So we left him at the Taman Indah LRT star station (I think I got the place wrong) so that he can take the train to plaza rakyat and get a ticket to Ipoh from Pudu Bus Station. There, another friend got off the car and only me and safwan were left to continue the trip back to bangi. Rizal brought the most things, including Majid’s (KUITHO, johor) stuff as he’ll be attending a program next week at KUITHO. We saw him walk into the station with 2 humungous begs and that was all left as a visual to remember him.

I drove all the way back to bangi. On the way, I had some conversations with safwan and knew some of his backgrounds. We headed for the workshop where he dropped his kris for adjustments. He put on some new sport rim which kind a look cool. So there, he took the bike and headed of back to Desa Saujana to take his belongings as he didn’t bring them when we went to KL, the van was too full. At the traffic light, I went straight and he turned right. There, our journey together ended. But the bond is still fresh in mind. And it’ll be fresher each time and stronger the next time we all meet again.

Several moral values gained through this story can’t be shared. It’s almost impossible to send the values to others, but those involved, it’s a moral value to remember…

Ukhuwah fiLlah, abadan abada…

Until shahid separates us on this noble path…

Until we meet again on the same path calling to mankind towards tauhiduLlah…

Until jannah welcomes us together on that very door step…

Until…until then, this memory will be my motivation of best friendship liLlahita’ala…
